Qingbaijiang works hard to carry out the strategy of “prosper the district by ecology”, to start the construction of the demonstration economic area with low carbon emission, to promote the joint-establishment of both a national and provincial ecological area, and to strive for UN resident environment award. In 2007, it was honored as one of the first batch of “Sichuan Model Districts of Environmental Protection”.
Qingbaijiang is on the way to form an excellent complexion that “ecology and industry take off together, environmental protection and construction walk hand in hand, civilization and harmony stand shoulder by shoulder, and splendid landscape embrace scatters all over Qingbaijiang”.
Qingbaijiang has taken some special action successively, including “the five-year plan for environment protection” and the “ecological barrier construction in north Chengdu”, and it has renovated environment comprehensively and deeply. Besides, it has planned and constructed belt-shaped urban forest corridor in the downtown according to the high standard. This corridor is the largest in the southwest of China, and so do its plants. Additionally, this corridor is 10 km long.
In 2008, the air quality of 347 days is excellent.
The catering industry is of all sorts and features. The catering street begins to take shapes. Farm houses and unique food scatter all around Qingbaijiang.
